Waste advice in the district Viersen

Smaller apartment, moved-in together, too many signs of wear and tear, not anymore modern or just getting tired of seeing the old things again and again? There are many reasons why one wants to get rid of used furniture and household goods.

'What the one person doesn't like anymore might be just the right thing for the next', says Dorothee Kleinermanns, waste advisor of the district Viersen. The district Viersen has charitable organisations, which will take well-kept used furniture, clothes and household goods without any charges and will pass those items on either for free or for a small charge.

Phone for a date and one will take a look at the furniture whether they are suitable for customers. Kitchens and washing machines are very much needed. Depending how the organisation is done the items may be taken away just there and then. As these well-kept furniture are being carefully taken apart, carried outside and taken away this is often for people who are unable to do this themselves a great help. Smaller donated items may just be brought to the organisations.

There are good arguments for reuse not only for the environment and waste prevention. 'At the same time we help people who are less well-off and get their furnishings for less', according to Dorothee Kleinermanns. On the other side people are being supported who have a job because of these measures.
